Sony Electronics and Anatomage today announced a new integration of the Anatomage Xtreme Reality software with Sony’s Spatial Reality Display1.
Anatomage Xtreme Reality brings real human anatomy into spatial 3D, delivering a level of realism and immersion not possible on traditional displays. Powered by Anatomage’s digital real human anatomy and optimized for Sony's Spatial Reality Display, this application transforms how students and professionals explore the human body2.
Using real cadaver data, Anatomage Xtreme Reality presents highly detailed anatomical structures with surgical-level accuracy. Muscles, vessels, nerves, and organs can be viewed in true spatial relationships, allowing users to understand depth, layering, and anatomical positioning in a way that flat screens cannot replicate. Structures appear as if they are physically present, creating a natural and intuitive learning experience.
With advanced spatial rendering and real-time interaction, users can dynamically explore anatomy from multiple perspectives simply by moving around the display. No headsets or glasses are required, removing barriers and enabling seamless integration into classrooms, labs, and collaborative environments.
Beyond anatomy, the application also supports interactive science visualization, enabling users to observe biological processes, microscopic structures, and dynamic simulations in immersive 3D space3.
Anatomage Xtreme Reality provides a clean, scalable alternative to traditional wet labs, eliminating chemicals, odors, and associated risks while maintaining scientific accuracy. Designed for K-12, higher education, and professional training, it offers a future-ready platform for modern medical and science education.

"With Anatomage Xtreme Reality on the Spatial Reality Display, everyone who's seen it has an instant 'Oh wow, what am I looking at?' reaction," said Zach Bryant, Manager of Science Content at Anatomage. "There are many other platforms and ways to interact with content, but the Spatial Reality Display provides a transformative experience that delivers education in a way that people haven't seen before. And this is what we're trying to achieve: providing experiences that you can't get anywhere else."
Anatomage Xtreme Reality is available now, with support for Sony's Spatial Reality Display ELF-SR2. More information about compatible configurations and system requirements is available from Anatomage and Sony Electronics.
