What is XYN Motion Studio?

XYN Motion Studio app* is an application for editing motion data captured with "mocopi®", a mobile motion capture tool, as well as certain external motion data (*1). It also enables users to retrieve motion data from the cloud and manage various motion data. By making motion production easier, XYN Motion Studio app helps streamline the production
process.

Captured motion data can be saved in the cloud. The tagging feature enables efficient text search within the motion data. Additionally, download necessary motions from Sony’s Preset Motion Library for enhanced creativity and convenience.

Do I need a Microsoft account to use the application?
Before using XYN Motion Studio app, you will need to prepare a separate Microsoft account ID that is not linked to an Enterprise subscription.
Note:
- XYN Motion Studio app cannot be used with a Microsoft account that is linked to a company email address associated with an Enterprise subscription.
- A Microsoft account with a personal email address is required for access.
- There are no network environment restrictions (e.g., company network) when using XYN Motion Studio app.
I downloaded XYN Motion Studio app from the Microsoft Store, but cannot start it.
If you have restricted installation of Microsoft Store applications on your PC, you will not be able to launch XYN Motion Studio app after downloading it from the Microsoft Store website. Please ensure that your PC environment allows installation of Microsoft Store applications before downloading XYN Motion Studio app.
Does the XYN Motion Studio app include motion capture functionality?
XYN Motion Studio is an application specialized in editing and managing motion data. If you would like to use the capture function, please use the mocopi PC app separately.
What computer specifications are required?
Recommended specifications are as follows:

Which apps can I use to capture in mocopi Professional mode (12 points)?
It is available through the mocopi PC app.
Is it compatible with motion data files that are not from mocopi?
At the moment, only mocopi motion data files are supported. Motion data from sources other than mocopi will be supported in future updates.
What do I need to use XYN Motion Studio app?
A PC with the recommended specifications is required to edit and utilize motion data. Motion capture requires the separate purchase of mocopi.
Which standard motions can I use?
BVH and FBX captured by mocopi can be used. BVH and FBX data other than mocopi will be supported in future updates.
How much motion data can be stored in the cloud?
5 GB per account
What kind of users do you expect?
The target audience is 3DCG producers who want to easily use the desired motion without advanced tools. It is also intended for those who use more advanced DCC tools but want to use the desired motion quickly, such as in early-stage pre-visualization.
Is the motion data in the preset library of XYN Motion Studio available for commercial use?
The Sony's preset motion data available for download in XYN Motion Studio may be used for commercial purposes.
Is the motion data in the preset library of XYN Motion Studio app still available for commercial use "after the termination of the contract"?
The motion data in the preset library downloaded during the contract remains avaiable for commercial use even after the termination of the contract.
