What you can do with XYN Motion Studio

Lightweight and expressive
motion capture

Easily capture motion data using "mocopi." Further enhance accuracy by utilizing "Professional mode"^*1 through a dedicated receiver.

Efficient motion data
timeline editing^*2

The motion data timeline editing and automatic interpolation (Tween) functions allow the user to quickly produce ideal animations and edit with increased productivity.

Cloud storage and utilization of motion data

Captured motion data can be saved in the cloud. The tagging feature enables efficient text search within the motion data. Additionally, download necessary motions from Sony’s Preset Library for enhanced creativity and convenience.

mocopi_greenlight_one 1 — 6-point sensor connection

mocopi_professional mode — Profesional mode (12-point sensor connection)

*6-point sensor connection can be used with a Sensor data receiver for mocopi or smartphone for connection.

Motion capture by mocopi

Either 6-point sensor connection or Professional mode can be selected according to your production environment and application.
The motion data can be connected directly to the PC with mocopi sensor receivers*³, which realizes stable motion capture with less latency. No complicated network setting is needed.

Camera blending^*4

Combines the “mocopi” motion data and motion data captured by an external camera to reduce positional and rotational drift during continuous use. It improves capture accuracy when using 6-point connection.

* The screen on the left is currently being developed, and the specifications and/or design may be changed/updated in the future.
* If recognition by the camera does not work properly, the motion data correction may become inaccurate.
* The capture accuracy improvement function is off by default. To enable this function, change the setting from the camera blending setting.

Utilization of
the preset library

The preset library XYN Motion Studio provides contains several thousands of motion data available for use. The library will be expanded with more motion data added sequentially that can be used.

All the motion data contained in the preset library can be used for commercial purposes at no additional charge. You can download the motion data you need and actually use the data for game or animation content creation.

* The above screen is currently being developed, and the specifications and/or design may be changed/updated in the future.

*1 To connect 12 sensors in Professional mode with XYN Motion Studio and the mocopi PC application, two sets each of mocopi (QM-SS1) and Sensor data receiver for mocopi (QM-PR1) and 1 set of Sensor band for mocopi (QM-PB1) are required.
*2 Motion data editing is available only for motion data captured by mocopi. Motion data from sources other than mocopi will be supported in future updates.
*3 Requires Sensor data receiver for mocopi (QM-PR1).
*4 Requires the mocopi PC application or XYN Motion Studio.
