How to achieve the best accuracy

The developer will share tips to achieve the best accuracy with  mocopi🄬 and mocopi Professional mode. Mastering these tips will enable smooth settings and more accurate motion capture. Using professional mode requires mocopi PC App or XYN Motion Studio.

■How to Use with High accuracy
The following video provides various tips, including how to connect sensors and the correct calibration method, to achieve the highest accuracy when using mocopi.

Sensor Connection

This section explains the importance of connecting the sensor and the specific procedure for achieving the highest accuracy with mocopi. It is important not to move or vibrate the sensor during connection. Vibration during connection can lead to twisting of the avatar, which can reduce the accuracy of motion capture. If a completely stationary environment is difficult to achieve, the use of cushions can be effective.

Sensor bands attachment

This section explains how to attach the bands for maximum accuracy in mocopi professional mode. Professional mode uses a 12-point band and it is important that each band is securely attached to the body. If the bands are loose, the sensor may shake and affect the capture. It is recommended that the bands on the arms and thighs are worn slightly above the joints, as they tend to shift. In the unlikely event that the band shifts during the capture, retighten it and redo the calibration.

Calibration

This section explains how to calibrate the mocopi to achieve the best possible accuracy. For accurate capture, it is important to enter the correct height and stand still in the indicated posture (feet shoulder-width apart and hands straight on the body). During calibration, you must take a vigorous step forward. If you fail to do so, you should start over with caution, as you may have lacked momentum or moved during the calibration.

Motion Capture

This section explains how to capture for the best possible accuracy in mocopi. If the avatar is out of alignment during capture, this can be corrected by performing a Pose Reset using the on-screen or left wrist button, or a Position Reset using the on-screen or right wrist button. If the motion is significantly out of alignment, you will need to start over again from calibration, or if the sensor has been subjected to significant acceleration, try reconnecting the relevant sensor.

* Using professional mode requires mocopi PC App or XYN Motion Studio App
* Mobile motion capture “mocopi” includes 6 sensors. Using Professional mode requires 2 sets each of “mocopi” and Sensor Data Receiver and 1 set of Sensor bands.
