My name is Samat Algozhin. I'm a Technical Product Manager at Pixomondo, focusing on innovation within virtual production technologies from content creation to hardware build. 

The potential of XR and 3DCG technologies in the production process

XR technologies offer incredible productivity benefits, enabling rapid content creation and iteration during production planning. 

In the pre-production of virtual production, 3DCG Technology can be used to scan  real-world locations in high resolution and used for shot planning and set design. With VR headsets, creators can virtually scout environments, making critical decisions on camera placement, set dressing, and lighting conditions.

ー　What are your impressions of XYN ? 

When I learned about XYN’s integrated software and hardware solutions for spatial content creation, I saw their potential to bring a new dimension to the process.

ｍocopi® is a low-cost, user-friendly system that’s accessible to a wide range of creators. It’s easy to set up, and within minutes, users can capture action for previsualization. With 6 additional sensors enhancing fidelity and integration with XYN Motion Studio, mocopi becomes a powerful and efficient motion capture tool. 

We have utilized mocopi in an immersive project to control a virtual character in real time, enabling live interaction with the audience. mocopi was quick to set up and highly reliable, allowing us to seamlessly engage with over a thousand participants per day. 

ー　How are the XYN’s 3D capturing solution can be used for production or expect to use? 

The XYN 3D capture solution enables the acquisition of photorealistic, highly accurate geometry, streamlining post-production and allowing creators to focus on their vision.
